Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Decent Dynamix ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the SOLDER mobile application and getsolder.com (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
1. Who we are
The Service is provided by Decent Dynamix. For privacy questions email privacy@getsolder.com.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Account data
- Email address (required to create an account).
- Profile fields you choose to provide: handle, display name, avatar, gender, height, relationship status, sexual orientation, long-term goal, daily goal, status.
- Authentication tokens (handled by our auth provider, Supabase).
- Cryptographic public keys used to encrypt messages sent to you.
2.2 Location
- When you check in to the radar or join a room, your approximate latitude/longitude is stored so the app can show you to other nearby users.
- Check-ins automatically expire after 2 hours.
- You can disable check-ins, leave rooms, or delete check-ins at any time.
- We do not track your location continuously in the background.
2.3 Messages
- Direct messages (DMs) are end-to-end encrypted on your device using public-key cryptography (NaCl/tweetnacl). Encrypted ciphertext is stored on our servers only long enough to deliver. We cannot read the contents of your DMs.
- Public room messages are stored in plaintext on our servers because every room participant must be able to read them. Treat anything posted in a public room as public.
- You can delete your own messages.
2.4 Device & technical data
- Device model, OS version, app version (used for crash diagnostics).
- Approximate IP address (handled by our auth and database providers, and used for abuse prevention and rate limiting).
2.5 Photos & camera
We access your photo library or camera only when you explicitly pick a profile photo. Photos are not uploaded automatically.
3. How we use information
- To provide the Service: show nearby users on the radar, list public rooms, deliver messages, render profiles.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To enforce our Terms — for example, removing content that violates them, or honouring blocks between users.
- To diagnose crashes and improve reliability.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not:
- Sell your personal data.
- Use your data to serve advertising.
- Read or analyse the contents of your end-to-end encrypted DMs.
4. Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies we rely on: (a) contract — to provide the Service you've signed up for; (b) legitimate interests — for security, abuse prevention, and product improvement; (c) consent — for optional features such as location check-ins and accessing your camera/photo library; (d) legal obligation — to respond to lawful requests.
5. Sharing & processors
We share data only with the following service providers, who act as our processors:
- Supabase — authentication, database, realtime, file storage. (EU and US regions; see supabase.com/privacy.)
- Apple App Store / Google Play — distribution and crash reports.
- Google Maps Platform — map tiles on the radar.
- Expo / EAS — over-the-air updates and build hosting.
We may disclose information when required by law, to comply with valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
6. International transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States or other countries where our processors operate. Where required, we rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
7. Data retention
- Profile and account data: retained until you delete your account.
- Check-ins: automatically deleted after 2 hours.
- Direct-message ciphertext: deleted 24 hours after delivery, unless both parties have explicitly persisted the conversation as "Solders".
- Public room messages: retained for the lifetime of the room or until deleted by the author or a moderator.
- Backups: rolled off within 30 days.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@getsolder.com.
You can also delete your account directly inside the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, messages, check-ins, and public keys.
9. Children
SOLDER is rated for adults and is not directed to anyone under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it. If you believe a minor is using the Service, contact privacy@getsolder.com.
10. Security
We use TLS in transit, encryption at rest at our hosting providers, and end-to-end encryption for direct messages. No system is perfectly secure; you use the Service at your own risk.
11. California privacy rights
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not "sell" personal information as defined under California law.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced inside the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
